Typically, the same set of tools is employed for analysis. Here’s a selection of the most important ones:
- Google Analytics: With Google Analytics, website visits can be analysed by looking at key factors such as bounce rate, time on site, conversions, etc. Other tracking tools include Adobe Analytics and Clicky.
- Google Search Console: This tool provides insights into the performance and visibility of your website in Google’s search results. Its equivalent is the Bing Webmaster Tools.
- SEMRUSH: This tool enables comprehensive analyses of keyword rankings and competitor comparisons. Alternatives include Sistrix, Xovi, ahrefs and many more.
- Crazy Egg: Tools like this record heatmaps, scrolling behaviour and click patterns to identify website optimisation potential. Alternatives include Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity.
- Optimizely: With Optimizely, different variants of your website can be compared through A/B tests to determine the version with the best user interaction and conversion rate.
